WHAT IS REWIRED SUMMER CAMP?
reWIRED camp is a fun, energetic, unforgettable, life-changing experience designed specifically for middle school students (grades 5-8). Students will experience exciting worship, hear challenging talks, and engage in small group activities. They will also experience awesome large group games and competitions, along with the many recreational activities that Windermere Conference Center has to offer. These include swimming, high ropes course, paintball, cave tours, hiking trails, and much more. reWIRED camp is a four-day experience students will not want to miss!
reWIRED is all about small group conversations where students will not only hear the message but interact, ask questions, debate, personalize, and apply it. We want to elevate the role of the adult small group leader, providing opportunities for relationships to strengthen. Building the relationship between the small group leader and the student is essential to us so that the relationship can continue once camp is over.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SMALL-GROUPS-BASED?
Being small-groups-based doesn't just mean we have small group time or that we provide a list of questions to go over. It means that everything happening at camp, from what’s said on stage, to the activities, to the accommodations and the meals—all of it—is designed intentionally with small groups in mind. Camp is often the place where decisions are made and lives are changed. It’s a turning point. And we want students to have that experience alongside a caring adult who will still walk with them, still know their name, still ask them questions, and still cheer for them long after camp is over.
WHY SHOULD MY STUDENT COME TO REWIRED CAMP?
It’s part of a gospel-centered and developmentally appropriate year-long strategy aimed at helping your student understand their part in God’s story. And it's a lot of fun!
